Pencil Pleat
This is a traditional curtain stitching that is often seen used in double curtains (Main + Sheers), either for sheers or the blockout curtains at the back. Pencil pleat curtains are made using special tape that has threads. Tailor will pull the threads to make pencil on the heading of the curtain. One of the biggest advantage of this curtain is that customer can adjust the width of the fabric by just unknotting the thread and spacing out the pencil. These types of stitching’s are also great for tighter space, such as installing curtains in the bulkhead ceiling.
